Many reports suggest that the occurrence of colon cancer is related to eating habits. Although there is evidence that cellulose foods can prevent colon cancer and excessive consumption of meat and/or excessive intake of fat is susceptible to colon cancer, there has been controversy. This paper reports a prospective population study of the relationship between carnivorous and colon cancer risk in the Netherlands in 1986 to reveal the mysteries between the two.
