本文试图对阿伦·福特(Allen Forte)《非调性音乐的结构》(The Structure of Atonal Music)一书的基本内容作一简要介绍。该书的主要特点是,对非调性音乐的结构进行定量分析。根据分析对象的属性,指派一些可资比较的数字,并依特定的规则,对音乐结构进行全面、系统的“测量”。其主旨在于,“为非调性音乐结构中多种复杂的现象提供一种具有普遍意义的综合模型,从而,为音乐作品的描述和阐释建立一种理论的框架结构。”
This article attempts to give a brief overview of Allen Forte’s book The Structure of Atonal Music. The main feature of the book is the quantitative analysis of the structure of non-tonal music. According to the attributes of the analysis object, assign some comparable figures, and according to specific rules, conduct a comprehensive and systematic “measurement” of the music structure. The main idea is to “provide a comprehensive model of universal significance for a variety of complex phenomena in non-tonal music structures, thereby creating a theoretical framework for the description and interpretation of musical compositions.”
