健康教育是一个培养行为的过程,涉及运用行为科学与社会科学知识解决人类保健问题。其对象为社会人群,但可根据实际情况,对不同的人群实行分类和针对性教育。儿童少年约占我国人口的三分之一,其中绝大多数都将作为一名中、小学生,体验一段时间的学校群体生活,这是学习卫生保健知识端正对健康问题的认识与态度,以及培养良好的卫生行为的机会与挑战。此时,实施行为健康教育,真正使中小学生的健康教育工作落到实处,取得成效,具有一定的战略意义。
