18 5 8年 7月美国逼迫日本与其签署了《日米修好通商条约》 ,横滨从此向欧美敞开了门户。中国人几乎在开港的同时出现在横滨。最活跃的是中国的买办 ,他们充当欧美人与日本人通商的中介。 1870年日本与清政府签订了《日清修好条规》 ,中国人获得了领事裁判权 ,这加速了在横滨的中国人社会的形成 ,从而使中国人最终摆脱了欧美人附庸的社会地位
1858 In July of 1887, the United States forced Japan to sign the “Treaty of Amnesty with Japan,” and Yokohama opened its door to Europe and the United States. The Chinese appeared in Yokohama almost at the same time as they opened the port. The most active is China’s comprador, they act as intermediaries between Europe and the United States and Japanese business. In 1870, Japan signed the “Regulations for the Revision of the Japanese Rule by the Qing Government” and the Chinese obtained the consular jurisdiction. This accelerated the formation of a Chinese society in Yokohama so that the Chinese eventually got rid of the vassal social status of Europeans and Americans
