1986年以来,陕西省考古所镐京考古队对首安县斗门镇东北地区进行大面积勘查,新发现西周时期宫室建筑群10余座。考古工作者通过对其中最大的一座5号大型宫室基址的发掘,查明该宫室的夯土台基总面积为3393平方米。宫室坐西北朝东南,平面呈“工”形,建筑总面积为2891平方米。宫室主体建筑居中,面积1357平方米。宫室主体建筑两端为左右对称的附属建筑。在附属建筑中共发现残墙28条。
Since 1986, the archaeological team of Archeology in Shaanxi Province has conducted a large-scale survey of the northeast area of Doumen Town, Shouan County, and newly discovered more than 10 imperial palace buildings in the Western Zhou Dynasty. By excavating the largest base site of a large No. 5 palace among them, archaeologists ascertained that the total area of rammed earth for the palace was 3,393 square meters. Palace sitting southeast Northwest, the plane was “workers” shape, the total construction area of 2891 square meters. The main palace building, an area of 1357 square meters. The main body of the palace at both ends of the building is symmetrical subsidiary. A total of 28 residual walls were found in the annex buildings.
