本文通过分析宋初天台宗重要僧人孤山智圆带有自传性质的著作《中庸子传》,论述这位处于唐宋文化转型时期具有代表性的僧人的精神历程,认为儒士与僧人身份认同的危机是贯穿其一生的重要思想主线,随着其对天台学的深入研究,其思想矛盾得以缓和。因为天台学“空假不二为中道”的思想为其融汇儒佛提供了理论基础和来源。在其晚年,智圆确认了“佛主儒从”两者相辅相成的身份认同。其思想反映了当时中国“唐型文化”向“宋型文化”转变期的特色,也在一定程度上预示了宋代以降佛教思想发展的趋向性。
This essay analyzes the spiritual process of the representative monk during the cultural transition period of the Tang and Song dynasties through the analysis of the autobiographical “Gentle Biography” of Gushan Zhiguanyu, an important monk from the Tiantai clan in the early Song Dynasty, and holds that the identities of Confucian scholars and monks Crisis is the main line of thought that runs through its life.
