从20世纪60年代初开始,沈达人先生相继参加了《中国戏曲通史》、《中国戏曲通论》与《中国大百科全书·戏曲曲艺》、《中国京剧百科全书》的集体编写,因此个人的戏曲研究都是伴随集体编写相机进行的。纵观先生的戏曲研究征程,大体经历了从戏曲文学到戏曲美学,再到戏曲史论批评三个阶段。一1948年,沈达人先生考入南京国立戏剧专科学校理论编剧系,受教于陈瘦竹、孙家琇、陶雄、沈蔚德等名
