我们对最近新湖南报的社论感到很大的兴趣。我们认为这个报纸的社论有这样三个特点: 一、社论和新闻配合得好,很多重要的新闻都配发了社论。如二月十九日头版报道了“道县大种南瓜”的新闻,反映了道县种南瓜的群众运动,介绍了种南瓜的经验。新闻旁边就是题为“多种南瓜”的社论。社论热情地赞扬了道县人民的做法,指出种南瓜的经济意义,号召大家多种南瓜。从二月二十日到二十九日九天中,报纸共发表了十五篇社论,每篇都和新闻紧密结合,给人以深刻的印象。
We are very much interested in the editorial recently in the new Hunan Daily. We think the editorials of the newspaper have such three characteristics: First, editorials and news are well matched, and many important news items are allotted editorials. For example, the first edition of the “Daoxian Pumpkin” was reported on the first day of February 19, which reflected the mass movement of pumpkins in Daoxian County and introduced the experience of planting pumpkins. Next to the press is an editorial entitled “A Variety of Pumpkins.” The editorial enthusiastically praised the practices of the people in Daoxian County, pointing out the economic significance of planting pumpkins and calling for a variety of pumpkins. From February 20 to 29, the newspaper published a total of 15 editorials, each of which was closely integrated with the news and gave a deep impression.
