Colleges and universities enroll students, since 1952 the implementation of the national unified examination, referred to as the college entrance examination. This is a national education examination sponsored by the National Education Commission. The National Education Commission Examination Center serves as the agency for education examinations of the State Education Commission. It drafts various administrative regulations, organizes propositions, and conducts macro management of examinations throughout the country. The examination organizations of provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government are under the leadership of the local education commission and are responsible for the actual examination, evaluation, and achievement of the examinations according to the requirements of the examination center of the National Board of Education and the organization of higher education.
