我出生在青田石雕发祥地山口镇的黄坑底自然村。那里不仅山清水秀、风景优美,而且靠近出产青田石的尧土矿区。村里十多户人家,家家有人或采石,或雕图书(石刻),或出国贩卖图书货。我母亲9岁开始跟外祖母学习雕刻石猴,到15岁就已经是一位雕图书的多面手。我10岁那年,全家搬迁到山口,住在花旗街旁边。街上有几幢西式楼房,都是主人旅居美国销售石刻赚钱 I was born in Qingtian stone crater Yamaguchi town of Huang Hangdi village.
