Objective: To investigate the relationship between nitric oxide and cerebral hemorrhage. Methods: The levels of plasma nitric oxide (P-NO), vitamin C (P-VC) and vitamin E (P-VE) were measured in 133 patients with cerebral hemorrhage and 100 healthy controls. Results: Compared with the control group, the mean P-NO level and P-VC and P-VE in patients were significantly lower than those in the control group. There was a positive correlation between the severity of NDS and intracranial hematoma, But negatively correlated with P-VC and P-VE. Conclusion: In patients with intracerebral hemorrhage, the radical reaction pathological aggravate, and the balance of oxidation and anti-oxidation is seriously disordered. Antioxidant therapy should be given as soon as possible.
