红色文化资源是红色、文化和资源三个概念有机合成的范畴,主要指中国共产党领导中国人民在革命战争年代进行的革命活动及其结果。红色文化资源是人文社会资源,具有聚集性与离散性、消耗性与再生性、共有性与独占性相统一的属性。红色文化资源的形态类型多种多样,可以划分为红色旧居旧址、红色器物、红色文献、红色文学艺术、红色纪念建筑、红色意识形态等六大类型。红色文化资源的研究是应用历史的研究。这种研究目前主要集中于红色文化资源的本体研究,基于红色文化资源关于治国理政、文化软实力、人才培养、文学艺术、文化产业、红色文博、红色旅游等的研究以及运用现代科学技术保护和开发利用红色文化资源的研究。
