本磁强计建立在霍尔效应的基础上。线路由频率为50赫的网路供电。电动势用补偿法来测量。采用尺寸不大而灵敏度很高的振动式检流计作为指示器。初步研究证明,在由交流供电的桥臂里,仅用改变电阻的方法就可以实现讯号的补偿(幅值补偿)。这是由于各桥臂里没有相位移。
