本期“争鸣”栏,我们发表了李健鸣同志《<北京人>引起的题外话》一文。实际上,这些话正是如何对待经典名作的题中应有之义。李健鸣把久蓄于心的这些话写出来,给了《北京人》作者、北京人艺院长曹禺同志。曹禺同志认为她提出的这个问题可以讨论。我们也认为,“如何使传世之作在舞台上重放光彩”,是目前一个带有普遍性的问题。李健鸣主张用“不同于传统的演出形式”搬演传世名作(实际上她是把“新的演出形式”,与导演对剧本、对人物的“新的解释”混在一起来谈的。而这二者应该说既有不可分的联系,又有某种程度的区别)。这个问题值得深入谈一谈。
