过了亚得里亚海,飞机下面便是美丽的意大利国土了。飞机下降,我心中也涌起一阵阵兴奋和激动。意大利,这欧洲文艺复兴的发源地,就象一个巨大的艺术博物馆。然而,我最急切想看到的,不是梵蒂冈、鸟菲奇画廊里的名画,也不是罗马广场上和教堂里的雕塑和喷泉,而是陈列在全国十三所歌剧舞台上的意大利歌剧。意大利是歌剧的发源地。而我国的新歌剧是从西方引进的艺术形式。在国内歌剧有些不景气的今天,我曾听说西方歌剧已经是一种博物馆的陈列品了。它已失去了艺术生命力,失去了广大的观众,仅仅成为现代西方文化和上层阶级的一种华丽的装饰。似乎真正代表歌剧发展方向的,应该是音乐喜剧了。是这样
