一、概述无火花型电机是在正常运行条件下,不会点燃周围爆炸性混合物,且一般不会发生有点燃作用故障的防爆电机。它属于工厂Ⅱ类电气设备,只适合在工厂2区爆炸危险场所中使用。近十年来,国外无火花型电机发展很快,在防爆电机产品中所占的比例逐年增长。国际电工委员会(IEC)于1987年颁布了IEC 79—15《爆炸性环境用电气设备第15部分:“n”型防爆电气设备》。我国国家标准局也于1987年颁布了GB3836.8,开始发展无火花型电机。近年国内已有不少电机制造厂生产出无火花型电机样机,投入工业运行。二、发展无火花型电机的必要性在防爆技术发展的早期,场所的划分只是简单地划为危险场所和安全场所二大类。在危险场所中只需用隔爆型电气设备,它能满足在正常运行时经常处于爆炸危险状态的1区场所的安全要求。多年的运行经验表明,这些工业企业在生产过程中,环境中的爆炸性气体和蒸气并非总是处于危险状态,
