In order to bring into play the talents and technological advantages of the Geological Society, the majority of its members and scientists and technicians are organized to revitalize the Jiangsu economy and further promote the development of an export-oriented economy. The Science and Technology Consulting Service Department of the Geological Society of Jiangsu Province was established in May 1988. The service department is headed by Jiangsu Provincial Association for Science and Technology Consulting Service Center.
