二、腥风血雨的海员起义 轮船招商局是李鸿章1873年创办的大型官僚海运企业,它拥有全国江、海轮的百分之十以上,几乎垄断了长江、沿海及远洋的航运业务。除了上海招商总局,还设有大连、天津、青岛、南京、武汉、重庆、宁波、高雄、广州、香港等19个分局,它们在国内各大港口,拥有码头、仓库、房产、场地、船厂、办公楼等,资产庞大,实力雄厚。 解放前夕,招商局绝大部分海轮被国民党劫往台湾。在党的正确领导与号召下,很多被劫去的船员纷纷驾船起义,在起义中,有的崇明藉船长与船员献出了生命。
