2004年6月16日光明日报55年社庆时,中共中央政治局委员、书记处书记、中宣部部长刘云山同志在视察光明日报社时的讲话中多次讲到李汉秋,其中两次说:今天我在光明日报上看到李汉秋的一篇文章,文章的最后几句话,实际上就是讲光明日报的特色和风格:要有文化,有高品位,有深蕴涵;时政课题要学理化,社会热点要深刻化,学术睿思要可喻化,科技新知要普及化。他这样讲光明日报的特色和风格是贴切的。现在有一些全国知名的专家,就是从在光明日报上发表文章成长起步的。李汉秋在今天的光明日报上写文章说,他的第一篇文章就是上大学时在光明日报发表的,而且这篇文章引起许多导师的关注。所以,作为一张面向知识分子的报纸,光明日报要想方设法团结一大批名专家。
On June 16, 2004, during the 55th anniversary of the Guangming Daily, Comrade Liu Yunshan, member of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Propaganda Department, repeatedly mentioned Li Hanqiu in his speech at the Guangming Daily. Two of them said: Today I saw an article by Han-Qiu in the Guangming Daily. In the last few sentences of the article, I actually talk about the characteristics and style of the Guangming Daily: we must have a culture of high quality and profound implication. When we deal with current affairs issues, we should study physics and chemistry, Social hot spots should be profound, academic thinking should be metaphorical, and new scientific and technological information should be popularized. His character and style of speaking Guangming Daily is appropriate. There are now some well-known experts in the country who started by publishing articles in the Guangming Daily. Lee Han-chiu wrote an article in today’s Guangming Daily saying his first essay was published in Guangming Daily when he was in college, and this essay has drawn the attention of many mentors. Therefore, as a newspaper for intellectuals, the Guangming Daily should find ways to unite a large number of experts.
