历史是一门具有综合性特点的学科。历史教学在素质教育中的重大意义和作用已被现实所证实。素质是指在个人环境影响和教育训练下所获得的稳定的、长期的、发挥作用的基本品质结构。它包括人的道德水平、文化水平、健康水平、审美情趣、环保意识、劳动技能以及智力和非智力的心理素养等,历史教师们正在自觉地利用它来为提高整个民族的素质服务。在素质教育方面与历史教育有同等意义的是对乡土历史和名胜古迹的考查活动。乡土历史和古迹的一个组成部分是历史中较富有活力的因素,是学生身边的历史。组织学生对乡土历史和名胜古迹进行考查,对培养学生的能力有着课堂教育所起不到的作用。在进行这类考查活动中,学生可以了解历史的发展和今天的生活情况,使他们由此理解课堂上学习的历史知识。
History is a comprehensive discipline. The great significance and function of history teaching in quality education have been confirmed by the reality. Quality refers to the stable, long-term and essential basic quality structure obtained under the influence of personal environment and education and training. It includes people’s moral level, cultural level, health level, aesthetic taste, environmental awareness, labor skills and intellectual and non-intellectual psychological qualities, etc. History teachers are consciously using it to improve the quality of the entire nation. In quality education and history education have the same meaning is the local history and monuments of the examination activities. An integral part of the native history and monuments is the more dynamic factor in history and the history of the students. Organizing students to examine local history and places of interest has a role that classroom education can not play in cultivating students’ abilities. In conducting such exams, students can understand the history of the development and today’s life, so that they can understand the history of learning in class knowledge.
