《世说新语》中有不少与佛教相关的词汇,多层面反映了中印(佛)文化交融的情形。从词语来源和语义演变的视角来考察这些词汇,则《世说新语》中词汇与佛教相关的情形有三种:有的是因佛教传入而来的新词汇,有的是表示中土新生佛教事物的词汇,还有的是增添佛教内涵的中土词汇。其中第三种情形最能体现中印(佛)文化的交融。
There are many Buddhist-related words in “Shi Shuo Xin Yu”, which reflect the blending of the cultures of China and India (Buddhism) at many levels. From the perspective of the sources of words and the evolution of semantic perspectives, these terms are related to Buddhism in Shi Shuo Xin Yu: some are new words introduced by Buddhism, and some are terms used in new Sino Buddhism Buddhism , There is the addition of Buddhist connotation of the vocabulary of Turkey. The third case best embodies the fusion of China and India (Buddhism) culture.
