1949年5月,解放战争的隆隆炮声,逼近了大上海。当时的国民党“京沪杭警备总司令”汤恩伯,接连下达了三道手令给淞沪警备司令部少将参谋处长王之师,命令他在撤退之前,炸毁苏州河各处桥梁和黄浦江沿江码头,以阻止解放大军前进。 汤恩伯万万没有想到,他的三道手令,竟下达给了长期为中共地下党工作的、在地下民革担任策反行动组组长的王之师。
In 1949 May, the rumbling of the Liberation War guns approached the big Shanghai. At that time, the KMT Chief Commander in Chief, Jinghuhangguang, issued a series of three warrant orders to Major General Wang Zhi, chief of staff of Songhu Garrison Command, and ordered him to blow up the bridges around the Suzhou Creek and the Huangpu River along the river before retreating Dock to stop the liberation army.
