Administrative Office of the People’s Government of Tibet Autonomous Region [2008] No. 4 (January 9, 2008) Administrative Departments, Lhasa Municipal People’s Government, People’s Governments of all counties (cities, districts), commissions, offices, offices and bureaus: Reforestation is a major decision made by the Party Central Committee and the State Council to improve the ecological environment and has been endorsed and supported by the majority of farmers and herdsmen. Since the area started returning farmland to forest in 2002, our district has completed a total of 244.895 million mu of returning farmland to forests, afforestation of barren hills and wastelands and 55 million mu of closing hillsides. The project involves more than 240,000 peasants in 49 counties (cities) of seven regions (cities) in the whole district
