程潜(1882-1968),字颂云,湖南醴陵官庄人,清末秀才,同盟会会员。日本陆军士官学校第六期毕业。辛亥革命后,曾任湘军都督府参谋长、非常大总统府陆军总长,广东大本营军政部部长。1920年孙中山第二次在广州发动护法运动时,被任命为陆军次长。1926年,程潜任国民革命军第六军军长。1928年被李宗仁扣留免去各职,之后数年,寓居上海。1935年升任二级陆军上将,任总参谋长。1938年起任第一战区司令长官,兼
