The famous Xiangxi gold mine, long after the liberation were called tungsten ore. The mine used gold as early as 1875, and found stibnite in 1898. After the understanding of scheelite in 1946, the target was tungsten, antimony, and gold was incidentally recycled. It was not until 1963 that gold, tungsten, and antimony were formally produced, all of which were used as targets for exploitation. In 1977, the mine was officially named as Xiangxi Gold Mine. This tortuous history of mine development is due to the fact that the deposit itself has unique geological features that are gradually recognized.
