IR64水稻新品种,由印度泰米尔纳达水稻研究所一九八三年国际水稻早熟产量试验圃和一九八四年产量品比试验中被评价选中的。IR64全生育期是110～115天,每公倾单产比TKM9、IR50和ADT36增产0.5吨。IR64茎秆矮,谷粒长形,抗褐飞虱、稻瘿蚊和三化螟,但在泰米尔纳达地区病害较为严重。
The new IR64 rice variety was selected by the Rice Research Institute, Tamil Nadu, India, for the International Year of Pre-mature Rice Production and Experimental Production in 1983 and the Production Scale Test in 1984. IR64 full growth period is 110 ~ 115 days, yield per yield than TKM9, IR50 and ADT36 yield 0.5 tons. IR64 has short stalks, long grains, resistance to BPH, rice gall midge and rice stem borer, but the disease is more serious in the area of Tamil Nadu.
