战国中后期中国学术思想的发展呈现出交融趋同的态势,在这样的时代背景下,又加之出身三晋、游学稷下的学术经历,促使慎子主动地吸收并融会诸家学说,以自成一派。通过分析慎子及其学派的作品,特别是上博简《慎子日恭俭》,可以看出慎子学派已经尝试对诸子百家思想进行整合,将法家、道家、儒家、黄老学派的主要基本理念融会贯通,优化为一个整体。其兼采百家的学术取向,是战国中后期学术思想发展的一个缩影。
