CARR堆芯容器是堆本体中极为关键的部件,采用材料为6061-T6Al。设计寿命10年。通常条件下,壳体的完整性是不会发生破坏的,但在反应堆运行期间堆芯容器要经受较强的热中子辐照,随着热中子注量的增加,壳体用铝材的机械性能将发生劣化,如屈服强度将增加,断裂韧性将下降。特别是材料变脆后,可能导致壳体的完整性受损,而设置辐照监督装置(图1)的目的就是为了检测堆芯容器用材料在寿期内各项性能是否满足设计使用要求。
