By making use of narratological theories of Gerard Genette, especially in terms of anachrony, this thesis studies the seemingly chaotic but systematic anachrony in Slaughterhouse-Five. It means to show that the superficially chaotic structure and language of the novel are derived from the narrative techniques applied in Slaughterhouse-Five.
