中国畜牧兽医学会家畜內外科学术討論会于1964年6月21—29日在江苏省南京市召开。出席会議的有来自28个省、直轄市、自治区的代表共68人,列席代表78人。会議共收到論文和研究资料192篇,在会上宣讀了69篇。这次会議是我国解放后第一次全国性的家畜內外科学术討論会,在9天的学术活动中,可以明显地看出,我国的家畜內外科解放后在党的深切关怀与領导下,有了很大的发展,在科学研究方面获得了不少的成果。在內科方面,有些单位系統地总結与发揚了祖国兽医遺产診疗疝痛的經驗——掏結术,这种方法比較簡便、經济、实用,在其适应症的范围內,很快地就可把病治好,并且一般不会有后遺症。有些 Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Symposium on June 21, 1964 in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.
