宁波大学有本部校区、西校区和一个独立院校北校区,三个校区参加羽毛球协会的总人数超过300人。校队虽然成立时间不长,但已经初具规模。校队脱胎于协会而成立,和协会共用同一套管理层,校队成员几乎都是协会骨干,同时,协会中表现突出的会员也会被选入校队。协会每年招新加入的成员80人左右,每周固定周日上午进行活动。活动以互相切磋为主,对于一些技术相对薄弱的会员也会进行相应的单独辅导。校队队员的训练则更为系统,包括体能、技巧、队内比赛等等,每周五、周日晚上训练。
