拥有众多奇特性能的碳纳米管,近年来受到科学界的普遍青睐。但利用传统方法制造出的碳纳米管束长度通常只有几十微米,其应用开发受到局限。而由中美科学家组成的一个研究小组在这一领域里的研究。前不久取得了突破,他们利用一种简单的方法,合成出了厘米级的由单层碳纳米管组成的碳纳米管束。中国清华大学和美国伦塞勒理工学院的研究人员,在新一期美国《科学》杂志上报告了他们的最新进展。
Carbon nanotubes have many unique properties in recent years by the science community generally favored. However, the length of the carbon nanotube bundles manufactured by the conventional method is usually only a few tens of micrometers, and its application and development are limited. A research group composed of scientists from China and the United States studies in this field. Shortly before they made a breakthrough, they used a simple method to synthesize centimeter-sized carbon nanotube bundles made of single-walled carbon nanotubes. Researchers at Tsinghua University in China and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute report their latest developments in a new issue of Science in the United States.
