Percutaneous placement of a permanent vena cava filter is the traditional method of preventing pulmonary embolism in anticoagulant therapy. Temporary recoverable vena cava filters begin several years ago and avoid the long-term side effects of a permanent filter. The authors performed extensive studies on animal models of DM filters, including filter placement, stability, clot collection and filter recovery. The authors evaluated the effect and safety of temporary or permanent vena cava filters on animal models. DM filter prefabricated into a double helix flexible steel wire, the experimental animals were 15 adult sheep, placed a total of 45 filters placed 8 to 386 days after radiography and microscopy.
