Recently, China’s Ministry of Health released the “Statistical Report on the Development of China’s Health Care in 2006”. In 2005, China’s per capita life expectancy reached 72 years old, male 70 years old, female 74 years old, and maternal mortality rate 47.7/10 million. The infant mortality rate was 13.2‰. Compared with 2001, life expectancy per capita increased by 0.6 years, maternal mortality decreased by 4.6%, and neonatal mortality decreased by 38%. The above three indicators are the main indicators to measure the national health level of a country. In the past five years, China’s “high, low, and low” changes have shown that the health level of residents in China has exceeded the standards of high- and middle-income countries, and individual provinces and cities have reached the level of developed countries.
