水墨人物画兴起于中国五代的石恪,经历了宋代的梁楷、明代的吴伟直到清代的闵贞、任伯年等人,逐渐形成了传统的水墨人物画体系。而现代的水墨画是由1930年徐悲鸿引进西画造型,然后经过蒋兆和的艺术实践而形成的,现代水墨画在继承了传统水墨画的基础上又吸收了西方画的特质,成为了一个全新的画种。而随着几代人的探索和创新,直到今天,现代水墨人物画已经基本形成。而水墨人物画作为一种表达人物情感、反映现实生活的画种,如何完整的表达出人物的内心世界也就成了现代水墨人物画的关键。
Ink figures rose from the Five Dynasties in China to Shiku, which experienced Liang Kai in the Song Dynasty, Wu Wei in the Ming Dynasty, Min Zhen and Ren Bornian in the Qing Dynasty, and gradually formed the traditional ink painting system. Modern ink-and-wash painting was introduced by Xu Beihong in 1930 and then through the practice of Jiang Zhaoguo. Modern ink-and-wash painting inherited the traditional ink painting and absorbed the characteristics of western painting, becoming a brand new painting. With several generations of exploration and innovation, until today, modern ink figure painting has been basically formed. As an expression of emotion and reflection of real-life painting, how to fully express the inner world of characters has also become the key to the modern ink-and-wash portrait painting.
