广东定下率先基本实现现代化的宏伟目标,引起了专家学者的关注。9月20日,广东地区部分理论与实际部门专家学者,珠江三角洲部分地市代表共聚一堂,探讨“广东率先基本实现现代化”问题,广东电视台、报纸、电台等新闻媒体参加了会议。会议由广东省社会科学院、省社科院现代化发展战略研究中心主办,TCL国际电工、广东汕头超声集团公司协办。以下是专家要点摘录:
Guangdong has taken the lead in realizing the grand goal of modernization basically and has drawn the attention of experts and scholars. On September 20, some experts and scholars from the theoretical and practical sectors of Guangdong Province and representatives from some cities in the Pearl River Delta gathered together to discuss the issue of “taking the lead in basically realizing modernization in Guangdong”. The media including Guangdong TV Station, newspapers and radio stations attended the conference. The meeting was sponsored by the Guangdong Provincial Academy of Social Sciences and the Provincial Academy of Social Sciences Modernization Development Strategy Research Center.
