追本溯源,我们发现:最早在近代,从西方传人的人本思想便开始渗透到了中国戏剧思想中。王国维戏剧思想中对人类生活之欲和势力之欲的阐释,其实质是对人本思想的一种朦胧的肯定。不过,作为一个过渡性的人物,在他的肯定中又包含着矛盾和一定程度的保留。他担心那种建立在人本思想基础上的意志自由有可能导致人类贪欲的膨胀,从而加剧人类生存竞争的残酷性。因此,他又想泯灭掉这种自我的追求。然而,历史的演进毕竟是覆水难收,他的痛苦也由此而生。
In retrospect, we find that the earliest modern people-centered ideas from the West began to infiltrate Chinese drama thought. The interpretation of the desires and forces of human life in Wang Guowei’s dramatic thought is essentially a vague affirmation of the humanistic thought. However, as a transitional figure, in his affirmation also contains contradictions and a certain degree of reservation. He feared that freedom of will based on humanism might lead to the bloat of human greed and exacerbate the cruelty of competition in human existence. Therefore, he wanted to exterminate this pursuit of self. However, the historical evolution is, after all, overriding water and his pain is born.
