In deep-hole blasting of open pit mines, the blasting body is often below the water level. If the blasting network is poorly insulated, stray currents may enter the blasting network and cause premature explosion, or cause the network resistance to be unbalanced and divert the detonation current to generate refusal. In July 1977, an early explosion occurred during the open-air deep-hole blasting of the 344 level of Hainan Iron Mine. In this burst, 26 deep holes all contained water. They were successively arranged in a line along the stage. They were blasted with slurry explosives, and the colloidal explosives were detonated. The fourth-destination electric detonator of the copper shell detonated, and two pairs of parallel detonators were installed in each hole. The holes are externally connected into a large series group (ie, 2x52 parallel strings). After the network is connected, it is connected to a short circuit and is wound around a wooden stick inserted on the puncher to wait for detonation. Suddenly, No. 1 to No. 2, No. 9 to No. 15, No. 25 to No. 26 holes blew up. In the deep hole blasting of Nanfen Iron Mine, the 2500-volt starter produced by Yingkou detonated a few milliseconds in the hole.
