In observational studies, it was found that blood pressure is directly related to end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and promotes each other. African Americans have a high prevalence of hypertension-related chronic kidney disease and ESRD, but few trials have tested whether strengthening blood pressure control for African-Americans could delay the progression of their chronic kidney disease. Methods: Chronic kidney disease with hypertension
