象似性是对语言形式或结构与其所表达的概念或概念结构之间的相似关系的研究。它可被视为是一种从微观的角度对语言现象进行的分析和研究。象似性是对任意性的挑战。本文从语音、语法、词序、词素与隐喻几个方面讨论了象似性在词汇层面上的多中表征。认识词汇的这一重要特点,对英语词汇的理解和运用具有重要意义。限于篇幅,本文只着重探讨英语中的象似现象及其认知意义。
Iconicity is the study of the similarity between the form or structure of a language and the concept or conceptual structure it expresses. It can be seen as a kind of analysis and study of linguistic phenomena from a microscopic perspective. Iconicity is a challenge to arbitrariness. This dissertation discusses the multi-level representation of iconicity at the lexical level in terms of phonetics, grammar, word order, morphemes and metaphors. Understanding this important feature of vocabulary is of great significance to the understanding and application of English vocabulary. Due to space limitations, this article only focuses on the iconic phenomenon in English and its cognitive significance.
