为解决畜禽蛋白饲料的新来源,进行蝇蛆人工养殖研究。在种蝇室内,温度25—27℃,湿度65—70%,设若干笼子,内盛奶粉拌桔水等作饵料,将本地舍蝇装在笼内饲养,产卵后将卵放到育蛆室中经煮过的鸡、猪粪上孵化,温度保持在28—30℃。湿度70%,蛆虫化蛹后放到种蝇室笼中孵化成虫饲养,经过连续9代繁殖,得到无致病菌的种蝎和蝇蛆(幼虫)。利用蛆粉做了小、大猪增重的对比试验,分别提高70%、139%。用鲜蛆喂小鸡,增重率提高67%,提前4个月产蛋。
