我国城市公共场所的双语标识越来越多,但是大量存在不规范和错误现象。有关如何提高公示语翻译质量、运用什么翻译原则已有很多研究。但是,哪些标识、标语需要提供外文目前缺乏有针对性的研究。外文标识、标语的滥用增加了制作成本,而且为错误的翻译提供了更多机会。因此,有必要探讨公示语翻译的度,避免过度翻译。从公示语的概念、功能、使用场所、面向人群等方面对公示语翻译的度进行探讨,提出公示语翻译应坚持必要性原则。
There are more and more bilingual signs in urban public places in our country, but a large number of non-standard and wrong phenomena exist. Much research has been done on how to improve the quality of public signs translation and how to apply the principles of translation. However, there are currently a lack of targeted research on which logos and slogans need to be provided. Abuse of foreign language logo and slogans increases the production costs and provides more opportunities for mistranslation. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the degree of publicity language translation, to avoid excessive translation. This paper discusses the degree of publicity language translation from the concept, function, place of use and population orientation of public language, and puts forward that the principle of necessity should be adhered to in the translation of publicity language.
