In the autumn of 1951, I participated as the invited delegate in the third meeting of the first Political Consultative Conference in China. When we were resting, Chairman Mao Tse-tung, our great leader, met us. Chairman Mao saw me in a crowded crowd. He took my hand and asked me one sentence: “What is the difference between white marble cream and white marble cream?” At that time I was so excited with tears, sore nose and a word Can not say it. At night, I turned around and went to sleep, thinking of Chairman Mao’s profound meaning. Is different! No matter where the times, people, art, my mother and I are completely different, like a world of difference. Chairman Mao’s speech leads people to reflect on the profound changes in the nature of opera and opera artists from the old to the new society.
