在PIXE分析中,目前广泛使用内标法作为定量计算的方法。内标法要求内标元素必须均匀混合在待分析样品中,这对有些样品是难以实现的,或者不希望作这样的混合。推广的内标法要求获得均匀分布的束流剖面。在这一条件下,内标元素不必与待测样品均匀混合,内标元素只要在束流范围内,即使不在样品上也没有关系。推广的内标法保存了普通内标法的各项优点,避免了普通内标法要求内标元素和样品必须均匀混合所带来的困难。
In PIXE analysis, the internal standard method is widely used as a quantitative method. The internal standard method requires that the internal standard elements must be homogeneously mixed in the sample to be analyzed, which is difficult or impossible for some samples.
