光周期和温度与亚洲玉米螟滞育发育关系的研究

无论田间或室内由短日照光周期导致的亚洲玉米螟Ostrinia furnacalis(Gu-enee)幼虫的滞育,在各种光周期条件下均能进行和完成其滞育发育。长日照光周期可促进滞育发育的速度,而短日照光周期在一定程度上使滞育发育延返。滞育发育和解除并不需要事先经过相当长时期的低温。然而较高的温度会引起滞育幼虫的死亡。滞育幼虫所以需要低温是因降低代谢速率,以便滞育解除后形态发生的顺利进行。本项研究结果与McLeod和Beck(1963)报导的以欧洲玉米螟Ostrinia nubilalis(Hubner)为材料的研究结果颇为一致。表明两种玉米螟的滞育发育具有相同的生态学特征。 Diapause of the Asian corn borer Ostrinia furnacalis (Gu-enee) larvae, irrespective of the short-day light cycle in the field or indoors, was able to perform and complete its diapause development under various photoperiod conditions. Long-day photoperiod can promote the development of diapause, and the short-day photoperiod to some extent delay diapause development. Diapause development and release do not require a prior period of low temperature. However, higher temperatures can cause the death of diapause larvae. Diapause larvae so the need for low temperature is due to lower metabolic rate, in order to diaper after the release of morphologically smooth progress. The results of this study are in good agreement with the results reported by McLeod and Beck (1963) using the European corn borer Ostrinia nubilalis (Hubner) as a material. It shows that the diapause development of two kinds of corn borers have the same ecological characteristics.
