历史学家为各行各业都编写了历史——政治、经济、军事、文化……最后也为自己写下了史学史;编辑人员为各类著作家编成了专著,却总是忘记写一本关于自己的书。近年来,文化史成了热门,文化史的著作出奇的多,连《中国娼妓史》都翻印了三万二千本,现在我们终于也看到了第一部《中国编辑史》,虽说印数还不到娼妓史的十分之一。复旦大学新闻学院姚福申副教授,以十年的精力完成了这一开创性的著作,一方面固然是为了他授课的需要,另一方面也为中国文化史填补了一个空白,为中国三千年的编辑事业梳理出一条脉络来。我知道,姚福申君在编写这本《中国编辑史》的同时,还写了许多有关的专论。书中
