The author summarizes the situation of pesticide elimination and banning in 13 countries (regions) in the world in 2011. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed to phase out the use of sulfonyl fluoride; EPA will withdraw methyl bromide registrations other than temporary registration exemptions and pre-shipment quarantine purposes;
