May 1986 May 19-23 held in Chengdu, China integrated mountain development seminars. The meeting was jointly organized by the Chinese Geographical Society Mountain Research Committee and the Chengdu Institute of Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences. 73 delegates attended the conference and 51 units representing 21 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across the country. Representatives of natural science workers, there are social scientists, including professors (researchers) Associate Professor (associate professor) accounted for 27% of the participants. This meeting is the first large-scale academic conference established by the Mountain Research Council. The conference received 74 papers, including articles on integrated mountain development, remediation and basic theory.
