OBJECTIVE: To establish animal model of high altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE) and investigate its gene expression profile to investigate the mechanism of HAPE. Methods: Male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into normoxia group, normoxia LPS group, hypoxia group and hypoxia LPS group. HAPE animal model was established. Lung tissue and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) cells were collected and gene expression profiling was performed using Affymetrix profiling chips.
