长时期来,用于安装电子设备的机箱机柜大多采用钢板弯板结构,通过螺钉联接、焊接或铆接组装成机箱机柜整体.这是一种传统的设计、生产方式.随着当前世界电子技术的迅速发展,这种传统方式越来越显得不相适应,也不利于标准化、通用化、系列化以及模块化.纵观当今国内外机箱机柜的发展动向,利用型材设计,而尤以采用铝型材设计发展得最迅速,因为这符合电子设备一般重量要求,以往清一色的钢板弯板结构正在或已经为铝型材所取代.
